Why is there a VIP system?

As you may or may not be aware, this website offers a VIP membership in return for donating towards the funding of the site.

As you can imagine, with a game so popular and forum so busy it all costs and the VIP subscription was brought in, in 2009 to help fund the daily running of the site.

All members are able to view all the content that are hosted by this forum. However, there are various incentives to becoming a VIP member.

What are the benefits of being a VIP member?

You shall have access to the forums in the VIP Lounge:
Access to the Arcade which consists of over 200 games including classics such as Pacman, Donkey Kong, Tetris, Zelda and much more!
Unlimited access to the Bookies. Although all members of the website may be able to bet on events in '0102Bet', as a VIP member you can create events for all to gamble on. Each GBP you donate will automatically grant you 100 vCash to play with.
CM Forums City - Become a player for the forums as we fight our way from the Conference to the top! We are now in in the English Third Division.
Dream Team League - This is a specially designed management competition in which 16 managers (the limit of managers in CM 01/02) compete against each other in a league.
ourfootballclub - A VIP member becomes a director of ourfootballclub - Spanish Group B side Benidorm. As a director, you along with other VIPs will be able to vote for the starting line-up, tactics, signing players and much more.
Pirate Bay - A recent addition to the VIP Lounge, the Pirate Bay is a place where VIP members may share items between each other in private.

As well as having automatic access to several places within the website, you will also have the ability to edit your own profile in ways that others can only dream of:
The ability to possess a signature and an avatar lies only with VIP members.
You may also choose to store up to 200 private messages within your inbox. This is usually set to 50 for members.
Becoming a VIP will automatically give you a 'VIP' title on the forums. However, you also have the ability to choose your own title if you wish.
Groups - Create your own groups whether it be a group showing your support for a celebrity or even a football team, it's entirely up to you.
Visitor Profile Messaging - Members may leave messages on your profile if they wish and vice versa.
Customise your own profile - Profiles can be changed to your own liking, editing the font or style.
Create your own photo albums - Share photos with your fellow members if you wish.
Create events in the Calendar - VIPs may set up events that may be of interest to your fellow members in the calendar.
Upload your own attachments to messages - Say you'd like to upload a screenshot to a post in the forums, you can now do so!

How much can I donate?
You can donate as little or as much as you would like. However, the minimum amount to donate is £1.00.

The amount that you choose to donate will dictate how long your VIP membership will last.

Therefore, a £1.00 donation will give you 1 months membership, a £2.00 donation gives you 2 months access, £4.00 donation gives you 4 months membership and so on!

Once your donation has been confirmed, your VIP membership will then automatically begin. When it has expired, you will receive a Private Message notifying of the end of your membership.

How can I donate?
There are 4 ways that you can donate to the forums:

PayPal
The preferred donation method is via PayPal which you can do so via the Donate button on the home page. You may also make a direct payment to admin@champman0102.co.uk if you wish.

AlertPay
An account was recently set up at AlertPay where you can use the admin@champman0102.co.uk address to send any donations.

Mail
It is appreciated that there are members who do not use PayPal. As a result, donations can also be made via cash or cheque via the post. You will need to PM me for an address to mail to.

Electronic Bank/Wire Transfer
The fourth option is a bank/wire transfer from account to account. Again, you can PM me for details about this option. However, I understand that transactions outside the UK may incur a fee.

Where does my money go?

Quite simply, it goes into the funding of the website. Since the introduction of the VIP system, the forums have moved to a quicker and better server which of course, means paying more money. Thankfully the VIP system has proven to be a success which has meant that we have since paid for the services of our hosts on an annual basis following a successful quarterly subscription.

The donation money also goes towards the cost of hosting vBulletin for our forum software (which is a yearly licence in itself), the domain name www.champman0102.co.uk as well as other features relating to the website such as a 'Gold Subscription' to our Soccer Manager game which all members are invited to join for free as well as subscriptions to websites such as playerhistory.com for researching purposes.
